Permanent Soil is Eldstorms debut album, created in collaboration with musician/producer Christoffer Johansson. Eldstorm have delved into a contemporary American folk sound, heavily influenced by music from the 60s folk revival, and artists such as Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake. The production showcases a blend of the bands old-time roots (with instruments including the dulcimer, banjo and autoharp) and a more progressive soundscape reminiscent of early David Bowie.
